Phil brings a unique blend of legal, philanthropic, and public service experience to his work. He holds degrees from Brigham Young University, California Western School of Law, and the University of San Diego School of Law. After transitioning into philanthropy, he completed the CSPG program and earned his CFRE designation. Phil has led planned giving efforts for Intermountain Healthcare Foundation and Providence Health Philanthropy, and he now oversees a team of 12 planned giving professionals supporting hospital foundations across California. A dedicated community volunteer, he has served on several nonprofit boards and in leadership roles within the LDS Church. He and his wife have 10 children and 8 grandchildren. In his free time, Phil enjoys rugby, surfing, and vintage Porsche racing.
