Have you been involved in Planned Giving for a while? Do you want to go deeper and understand the tax aspects of Charitable Planned Giving so you can educate your donors on how taxes influence the type of planned gift vehicles they should consider? Are you ready to “think outside the box” and prepared to talk about multiple planned giving strategies to more closely meet your donor’s objectives as well as the nonprofit you represent?

Then this “Planned Giving 201” class is designed for you!

Speakers:

  • Susanna Kim, Partner, Withers
  • Stephanie Buckley, Head of Philanthropic Services, Wells Fargo Philanthropic Services

Susanna Kim is a partner in the private client and tax team at Withers.

Susanna is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a legal specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. She also advises clients on charitable trust planning, post-mortem trust administration and California property tax issues relating to transfers of real property.

Prior to her career in the private client field, Susanna was a corporate attorney at a global law firm advising private equity and real estate investment managers on fund formation and SEC compliance matters.

Ms. Buckley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with high honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a Juris Doctor with a specialization in business law from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, and a Master of Laws in taxation with honors from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
